Punta del Este, an hour and a half by car from Montevideo, is known worldwide as a scenic resort area with miles of beautiful beaches, luxury hotels and restaurants, glittery nightlife and an upscale summer population. A Loft in Punta is locatedat at the old town of Punta del Este, at the “point” of the peninsula, next to the port and its lighthouse. The old town of the peninsula is an area full of charm. Its streets surrounded by palm trees provide an enjoyable setting for walks at all times of day. A paved street along the coast makes it a favorite spot for walkers and joggers. Punta del Este offers miles of sandy beaches but if you do not feel like driving, you can always enjoy the beach just in front of the Loft. The proximity to the port makes it easy to visit the Island of Sea Lions (Isla de Lobos) as well as all other activities related to the port like its yachts, terrace cafes, and fish and shell shops. For dinner, you will have to choose among the many options that exist in the area, from the fanciest restaurants to the traditional “chivitos” and “empanadas”. Luxury boutiques await you a few minutes away. A supermarket is just a few blacks away from the Loft and many convenient stores are within walking distance.
